I love the alluring green of this gemstone, it has a wonderful warm quality that draws you into the stone. Peridot's make me feel happy. This split shank Sterling Silver ring features a wonderful bezet set Peridot gemstone. The birthstone of August, Peridot was once believed to protect the wearer from evil spirits. It was also said  to be Cleopatra's favourite gemstone. It has a hardness of 6.5-7 and is therefore capable of handling daily wear and the beel setting affords it a bit of extra protection.
