This very special ring has been made for Alison's sister, using a 4.5mm round faceted Aquamarine gemstone bezel set on a knife edge ring band. The ring is size R as requested and made with 100% recycled silver so is kinder to the environment. Your gemstone was sourced from an eco-ethical mine in Brazil.
- Aquamarine is derived from the Latin word for "seawater"
- It is the birthstone for March and the 19th wedding anniversary gemstone
- Aquamarine was believed to protect sailors and those who travelled by sea from any harm.
- It was also believe to promote marital harmony and happiness as well as to quicken the mind
- General care: Aquamarine is in general a hard gemstone sitting at 7.5-8 on the Moh' hardness scale (on a scale of 1-10) and very suitable for daily wear. It can however chip or shatter if it receives a hard knock.
- To clean your ring, use warm soapy water and a soft brush (such as a toothbrush), dry thoroughly. Do not use an ultrasonic cleaner with your ring.
